Sales and Marketing department is responsible for the marketing of all petroleum products produced by SAMIR refinery.
Marketing of petroleum products in the local market is part of the company’s vision to be a major supplier of petroleum products at a national level and a guarantor of the country’s supply security.
Sales and Marketing department strategy is based on building partnerships and trust with costumers of the company which are mainly distribution companies.
Petroleum products marketing may be done either by direct sales and free to clients, or through supply contracts enabling sit relationships of trust between SAMIR and its customers and sthrengthen their loyalty.
Products sold by Sales and Marketing department in the domestic market are divided into 4 main groups.
▪ Gasoil 50ppm and Marine Diesel Fuel
▪ Super Unleaded
▪ Jet fuel (A1);
▪ Standard and Special Heating oil
▪ Base oils of different grades (e.g.: 150 NS, 150 NS G3, 300 NS, 600 NS, BSS …etc.)
▪ Paraffin (e.g.: Candles and Industrial paraffin)
▪ Liquid sulphur
▪ Road asphalt of different grades (40/50, 20/30, 80/100, 90/40…etc.)
▪ Oxidized asphalt (Cut back 0/1)
The market share of the main products in the company’s overall production is as follows:
To be supplied from SAMIR our customers, consisting mainly of distribution companies, must have an agreement from the Ministry of Energy, Mines and Water as well as from the Ministry of Environment. There are around 15 operating companies which purchase from the refinery and distribute SAMIR petroleum products to the final Moroccan consumer.
The main distribution companies supplied with fuel from SAMIR are AFRIQUIA, VIVO ENERGY, TOTAL, LYBIAL OIL, PETROM, PETROMIN, ZIZ, WINXO, PETROLE NORD AFRIQUE, ATLAS SAHARA, INOV and GREEN OIL.
Delivery of petroleum products is done by several means, pipelines, coasters (cabotage), tank trucks and tank cars.
